We run a virtualised environment with "Appsense" which controls amongst other things, access to applications. We have certain users on Citrix, who need Adobe Pro X, We have obviously installed, Along with Adobe Reader X which is sat on machine for all other users.
We are facing regular issue with IE 11, with No settings(I.E immediately after an IE settings reset) with have tried to open .pdf's from the intranet and wider internet.
As soon as we do, something tries to launch Adobe Pro, which "Appsense" refuses access to.
What we would expect to happen is that the file type association for the user(Under HKCU) pulls up the adobe file.
If the file is opened from disk, adobe reader pulls up the file.
We need to confirm and prevent whats causing this.
At present, the only adobe process enabled(which we can't seem to disable) is Adobe Smartselect.
Anyone able to offer options(beside give the user base of 1500 access to the licensed adobe pro application?)
