Customization Wizard on Mac OS X

I've been trying to customize an install package for Acrobat Pro DC. I've been reading the official documentation and I don't know what I am doing wrong. These are the steps I've followed:

1) I created a file called com.adobe.Acrobat.Pro.plist and placed manually in <System Disk>/Library/Preferences/ and I added the information in the screenshot below.

2) Started the Customization Wizard and selected the plist file I created and also the Acrobat installer package.

3) I let the Customization Wizard create the custom package.

4) Installed Acrobat Pro using the custom created package.

5) Every time I launch Acrobat Pro, it still has all the cloud features and the updaters available.

I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. Any help will be appreciated.

When ANY user on Citrix server tries to 'Print to PDF' it asks user to log into Adobe Account to use "Free trial of Acrobat Pro"

We have a customer with a Citrix server and they have ONE user who needs Acrobat Pro and that user has a valid license.

However, when any other user tries to print to PF the installation of Pro (Rather than the installation of Reader) takes over, and pops up a window asking for the user to log in with their Adobe ID in order to 'Use their free trial of Pro'

The other users all use Reader and do not need or have a license for Pro. How do we get this prompt to go away so that other users can print to PDF?

(The user who has a licenses installation and logs in with their ID does not get this prompt when printing to PDF.)

Insert the "(null)" disc to continue the installation.

I created a custom installation package for Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2015 on Mac OS X Yosemite. It has various options turned off, such as cloud services. I built the package using a PLIST file that I got from another thread. The package creation is successful. However, when I try to install this custom package, I always get this error saying [Insert the "(null)" disc to continue the installation.]. At that point, there's nothing I can click on to close or get out of that window, and I have to eventually Force Quit the installer. What can be causing this problem? I believe I am following the instructions to the letter.Screen Shot 2015-12-04 at 4.59.30 PM.png

Acrobat Customization Wizard DC Error (Mac)

Hello! Hopefully someone may be able to assist me with this error I'm getting......

I am attempting to customize an Acrobat DC .pkg for MAC that was built using the Creative Cloud Packager tool (enterprise).

I have successfully built several Windows packages including one for Acrobat DC and I was also able to customize it using the Wizard tool.

I am using the following documentation:

Mac Wizard Overview — Customization Wizard DC for Mac

The .pkg that was built for Mac is able to successfully install on a system if it run directly, therefore it is unlikely that there are any issues with the package itself. It is version 2015.009.20069.

I have also tried rebuilding it just to be sure.

I downloaded the DC Customization Wizard from the following link:

https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=5893

Whenever I attempt to open the installer file I receive the following error:

"An error occurred while creating the output package. See the logs for details."

Screen Shot 2015-12-05 at 4.46.59 PM.png

When I look at the console it shows the following:

12/5/15 5:50:08.293 PM Acrobat Customization Wizard DC[4033]: ERROR: Couldn't expand the input installer to get the track name. status code retured is [1]

Screen Shot 2015-12-05 at 5.42.22 PM.png

I have attempted to install the Wizard in various locations including /Applications/ and other folders that have read/write permissions. I have attempted with multiple combinations on the initial Wizard screen.

Please see the attached screenshots.

Is there something that I'm missing or should be doing differently?

Edit:

If it makes any difference, I checked the license type for my install and it is showing as and activated LeID of:

V7{}CreativeCloudEnt-1.0-Mac-GM-MUL

Adobe Acrobat DC Licensing - Accesing via Terminal Server

$

Hi,

I am looking to utilize 'Adobe Acrobat Pro DC'  via a Terminal Server (Multiple users via 'Dumb' Terminals).

My questions are as follows:

1. Will each 'User/Machine' accessing the Terminal Server require a dedicate Adobe License?

         - If so what licensing (Product Code/Number) will I need to purchase?
or

2. Will a single 'Adobe Acrobat Pro DC' license cover all Users accessing the software via a Terminal Server?

Any help would be appreciated, Thank you.

Adobe Customization Wizard Error code 14

I'm trying to build an Adobe Acrobat package following the instructions from http://tv.adobe.com/watch/acrobat-it-tips-tricks-tutorials/customization-wizard-xi-for-mac -os-x/.  When I try to create the final package the Wizard errors out showing a code 14.  I looked that up and got this: The APTEE tool called from within returned an error. See /tmp/oobelib.log for details. I'm attaching the logs because I cannot figure out why the package is not being created. I can't figure out why the serial number is not being validated.

Adobe Reader DC - ADelRCP.exe prompts for admin rights

I've deployed Adobe Reader DC using the msi and transform created with the Acrobat Customization Wizard DC.

It install fine but when users first run Reader they are prompted for an administrator credentials because the program C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat Reader DC\Reader\ADelRCP.exe is trying to run.

Our users do have local admin rights.  How do I prevent this popup occuring on Reader startup and what does this ADelRCP.exe do?

How to deploy Adobe Reader DC without it taking PDF reader ownership

Hi,

How do i deploy Adobe Reader DC without it taking PDF reader ownership from another non Adobe PDF reader?

My transform file is setup as follows:

Default viewer for PDF files - Installer will decide...

Direct Editor > Properties:

DEFAULT_VERB=Open (changed this from Read)

LEAVE_PDFOWNERSHIP=YES (i added this. I also tried this in the install command line)

OWNERSHIP_STATE=0 (this is for Win8 only. I'm installing on Win7 but thought it couldn't hurt to try it)

I've tried with different variations of the above.

The other PDF reader is Nuance Power PDF Advanced. This is the one i want to remain as the PDF viewer owner.

Thanks,

Aaron

Reader DC Installation Wants to Install Per-User Rather Than Per-Machine

$

I have a situation where I am trying to deploy Reader DC across our enterprise using Microsoft Configuration Manager 2012.  Per our contract with Adobe we are contractually bond to deploy the latest version on all of our Desktops.  The installation, when run on certain systems, wants to install Reader as per-user rather than per-machine.  I have run the installation with verbose logging and can see in the installer log where the issue occurs.  At this point I have tried all I can to resolve the issue and find the source of the problem.

The issue does not occur on all systems, only specific ones.  SCCM 2012 uses the local SYSTEM account to install the application when it is deployed to an endpoint.  This account has full access to the system and should be able to complete the installation as a per-machine installation without issue.  Below is the information from the installer log when the installation runs per-user.  I have tried setting the MSIINSTALLPERUSER="" and ALLUSERS=2 properties at the command line to try to override the setting in the installer.  The results are the same - ALLUSERS property gets deleted.

MSI (s) (D0:D0) [15:30:04:261]: Determined that existing product (either this product or the product being upgraded with a patch) is installed per-user.

MSI (s) (D0:D0) [15:30:04:261]: PROPERTY CHANGE: Deleting ALLUSERS property. Its current value is '1'.

Deploy Acrobat/Reader With Trusted Certificate Chain (Mac)??

$

Hello,

Is it possible to deploy a certificate chain, with the Wizard tool or otherwise, during an install of Acrobat DC or Reader DC for Mac? In the Windows counterpart, there is an option to enable certificates already in the system trusted root to be used for signing, however there is no similar option I can see for Mac.

I need to have a particular certificate chain "baked-in" the install in order to allow our users to digitally sign documents properly.

The setting in question that I am referring to is found here in Preferences > Signatures > Identities & Trusted Certificates:

Is it possible perform this import either via bash/shell script or during deployment somehow?

We are installing acrobat pro with GP on XP systems. The install goes fine but on some users machines when they launch the program it comes back with

"Cannot use this product under a guest account". The users are admins on the system. If I uninstall acrobat pro 10 and reinstall in manually the same error happens. (note these systems had acrobat pro 9 installed, but was un-installed with the acrobat pro 10 MST)

Hi, I am using adobe reader DC. I would like to customise the installation such that "protected mode at startup" feature is turned off. Currently, i am using GPO from server to client.

i have tried using the following methods below but to no avail for ALL users

Creating key into 'Destination Computer' registry using adobe customisation wizard.

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\Privileged]

"bProtectedMode"=dword:00000000

And tried this also,

HKLM\Software\Policies\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\10.0\FeatureLockDown\bProtectedMode with a value of 0
