In an enterprise environment we should be able to control the software version that we deploy to our systems. With Adobe Reader everything works fine but this Adobe Acrobat 2017 Pro is a little bit stubborn and decided to update himself even that the Adobe Acrobat Update service is disabled. Can you please provide us a solution to this issue? We want to disable automatic updates for Adobe Acrobat 2017 Pro. Thank you.
How to disable automatic update of Adobe Acrobat 2017 Pro?
SCCM 1806 - Third Party Patching of Adobe Reader fails with error 1615
I am using SCCM's Third-Party patching tool and I'm having a problem updating Adobe Reader DC on approximately 40 PCs. These are all Windows 7 64-Bit Enterprise machines. Most of these machines have been in production for about 5 years or more. I have been trying to get these to update by performing a clean install. I have already used the Adobe Reader cleanup tool (both versions for Reader and DC) and I have ran these twice before installing Adobe Reader. The version that has been installed is 19.008.20071. I have an update that I have been trying to push to these 40 machines is Adobe Reader DC 19.008.20074. Adobe Reader DC 19.008.20074 is failing like all other previous updates. Just to let everyone know, these issues happened after we attempted to push Adobe Reader DC continuous track on all our machines. For some reason these 40 machines just failed. They failed to properly uninstall all old versions of Adobe reader, and even after the Adobe Reader cleaner, I still cannot push updates after a fresh clean install. Any help will be appreciated. Also to note, we have some Group Policies in place for Adobe Reader 11 and Adobe Reader DC, but I do not think this would have this kind of adverse effect. And, we have established at our organization that we will not auto patch any 3rd party products.
Here is the error log I am getting:

Adobe Reader DC Updates via Configuration Manager SCUP
Hi all,
I'm experiencing an issue with Acrobat Reader updates via Configuration Manager (and SCUP 2017).
Basically, this is the SCENARIO:
- CM CB 1802
- SCUP 2017 already synced with CM
The followings are updates already published on SCUP
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Update 19.008.20081 | Update | Security | Critical | APSB18-40 | APSB18-40 | 07/11/2018 03:21:54 | 14/11/2018 16:47:48
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC Update 18.011.20063 | Update | Security | Critical | APSB18-34 | APSB18-34 | 13/09/2018 10:54:53 | 07/12/2018 14:59:45
Name | Update Type | Classification | Severity | Article ID | Bullettin ID | Date Modified | Date Published |
The same updates (also with some other Flash Player one) have already been synced correctly with SCCM, reported in the SCCM console, added to a Software Update Group and deployed as available to a collection.
When I open Software Center on a target client, both type of updates are displayed correctly.
Once I click on "Install" both updates are downloaded into the ccmcache folder in a CAB file format, but:
- FlashPlayer Updates are installed correctly
- Acrobat Reader Updates report a 1603 error (looking into the event viewer)
I've already tried to:
- Install updates on my own using the CAB file, but the event viewer reports the same error
- Unzip the CAB into the MSU file type, install the MSU file, but always the same error
Could you please give me any suggestion about that?
Thanks in advance,
Andrea
Adobe Acrobat Pro made with Creative Cloud Packager results in login screen each time
Hello,
I've created a package with the Creative Cloud Packager version 1.14.0.97 of Adobe Acrobat 2017, so far everything is going well.
After deploying the package the application is installed but when the user opens Acrobat he/she gets a login screen. After clicking it away Acrobat closes itself. Later I tried the solution what was indicated below:
Disable Adobe Sign In Prompt – Acrobat Pro DC | adminfix
This gets me a step further, now I also get a login screen what I could close without closing the application too. According to the link I pasted above the login prompt should be gone completely but it isn't. I get the option to activate with the account that is I used to log in to the Creative Cloud Packager but this isn't an option for a deployment to end-users.
Does someone has experience with this problem and knows how to solve it?
UPdating Adobe Reader DC via SCCM
We would like to update Adobe Reader DC to the latest version via msp files via SCCM. Is there an easy way to deploy the msp updates via SCCM? What is the best practice for these updates deployments? What is the best way to install Adobe reader DC and its updates during OS deployment - software disstribution?
AcrobatProDC wants verification of wrong email and wont open under correct Adobe ID
I am unsure how to get Acrobat Pro Dc to open as it wants me to verify an incorrect email address. We have cancelled the original purchase on the incorrect email address, repurchased on the correct email address/adobe id and reinstalled software but it still automatically requests email verification on incorrect email address.
Error 150340
I keep getting error code 150340 when installing Acrobat Reader using silent args.
If I start installation manual by double click, installation done successfully.
Please help!
How to deploy Acrobat DC Pro 2017 to Workstations, Not Users?
We want to deploy Acrobat Pro 2017 to workstations assigned to users.
We do not want to "invite" users to create their own individual Adobe accounts and install it themselves.
However, the licensing site for Acrobat seems to be set up to assign it that way.
How do we change this so I can download the Acrobat DC Pro package to our network and push it out to workstations with SCCM as needed.
We need to have this centrally managed, not have users do their own installations.
Many users don't even have admin rights to install this on their own anyway.
Users come and go, so we do not want licenses tied to external user accounts that we have to maintain outside of our own domain.
Acrobat Pro 2017 Vs Acrobat DC Pro?
Are there separate Classic 2015 and 2017 versions of DC Pro like there are for Reader DC?
I'm trying to find and download the installation files for the Acrobat DC Pro 2017, but I can only find Acrobat Pro 2017, which I assume is the Continuous track that auto updates..
Many users don't have admin rights to install updates, so I don't know if the automatic updating in Pro 2017 will work for them. If not, we need to disable updating and deploy the updates out via SCCM instead.

Difference between plain Adobe Acrobat DC vs Standard, Pro, and Reader
Hello all, I've got a weird one here. I'm running some reports in my environment and trying to fine out what Adobe DC is. I also have Adobe DC Pro, Adobe DC Standard, and Adobe DC Reader installations as well but the majority of people just have Adobe DC installed. Is there a difference between them meaning paid versus free?
adobe dc pro install patch update to customized install
We are using a stand alone version of Adobe DC Pro (15.006.30033.2205) (no other Adobe products). Windows 7 32-bit environment. I have used the Adobe customization tool to create a custom install package. I now need to update this package with the latest patch from Adobe to correct a recent security patch.
Ideally I'd like to make a new customized installer package as this allows us to disable the Adobe Sign-In feature, which our agency will never use.
I am trying to use: msiexec /i acropro.msi PATCH="Acrobat2015Upd1500630280.msp" TRANSFORMS="AcroPro.mst"
The .mst file was created by the customization tool. However, when I run this command, I get the error:
"This patch package could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package."
I have attempted uninstall and reboot and cleaning the registry of previous installation of Adobe DC Pro without any luck.
Can someone provide guidance on how to create a new customized install with the latest patch and still have the Adobe Sign-In option disabled?
"There was an error reading a stream" and "Insufficient data for an image”.
Hi,
Our business is having an issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro standalone (2015). The software is up to date as of today, version 15.006.30461.
We are getting these pop-up error messages when attempting to open documents: "There was an error reading a stream" and "Insufficient data for an image”. We seem to be getting these issues primarily with PDFs produced from scanned documents, but occasionally get the same issues with other PDFs.
We work with a lot of PDFs so it is hard to tell sometimes whether a specific PDF is causing issue. As of our current project we are dealing with scanned document PDFs from multiple clients and seem to be having trouble with all of them. The issue sometimes happens if multiple PDFs are open at the same time, but also has happened with just 1 or 2 PDFs open. Sometimes the issue happens when the files are open for an extended period of time, but it also happens when you are attempting the open a document for the first time after a reboot.
The documents are stored on our networks business file server. There are not any apparent issues with our network – everything else appears to behave normally. We have only recently started having this issue in the last month.
I have software that monitors our PCs, all of the PCs in question average less than 50% memory usage and 50% or more of the SSD drive space is free. So this issue is happening when there is plenty of available PC resources.
All of the PCs are new Optiplex 7060 that we started using earlier this year.
Windows 10, full up-to-date.
All drivers are fully up-to-date.
Here are the hardware specs:
Processor: Intel i7-8700 @ 3.2GHz
Memory: 16GB (2x8GB)
SSD: Toshiba XG5 NVMe PCIe M.2 256GB
Graphics: AMD Radeon RX 550
NIC: 1 Gigabit Ethernet (i.e., not using WiFi)
I've seen posts in the past related to similar issue so I'm hopeful that you can determine and resolve the issue quickly.
Thanks!
How to install Acrobat Pro 2017 in as a remote application on RDS or Xenapp
We would like to install Acrobat Pro 2017 onto a Citrix Xenapp server, this is similar to Microsoft Remote App or RDS server. The question really pertains to handling licensing when everyone is sharing the same copy running on the remote server. We will purchase enough licenses, but I'm not familiar with how to handle licensing in this situation.
Thank you,
-Mark
LEID for Acrobat Standard 2017
I'm looking for the LEID for Acrobat Standard 2017 to run some prtk commands. I found the LEID for "DC Classic track 2017", but am unsure if it's the same as "Acrobat Standard 2017". Any ideas?

Download for Acbobat 2017 STD, CustomizationWizard
When I log in to the Adobe site to download my recently purchased Acrobat 2017 (17.0) Standard and Pro MSI's, I'm given the same download - Acrobat_2017_Web_WWMUI.exe (same checksum as well) - which appears to only have the PRO MSI file. How do I get the MSI file for Acrobat STD?
Bonus question : Is there a current Adobe Customization Wizard that I can use to create custom transform files (MST's) to create custom installs for workstations (instead of users) that are installed by SCCM?
Sorry for multiple questions
I have a device license, but Acrobat says my subscription has expired. Other apps are fine.
I have a device license for Creative Cloud for education. I've made the package and installed it on the computer. My admin console shows the computer as my device license. Photoshop and Illustrator launch just fine. Acrobat says my subscription has expired. How do I fix this bug? I've tried logging out and back in again.
