Sign In Required Issue
Hello, I need some help with Adobe Acrobat 2017. We purchased 5 license and the program is working OK on 4 PCs but one of them is having an issue where it will prompt the user to Sing In. We try skipping it and sign in but the same window keeps coming back. It looks to be in a loop. I tried so many things to try to fix the issue that I already track of what I have done. I have spent more than 4 hours on this PC and it is driving me crazy. Is there a way to start Acrobat in a safe mode or a way to start Acrobat and bypass the Sign in required window?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
distiller, VBA, 64-bit - doesn't work
Hello...
This code runs fine in Excel 365 32-bit. The Set command crashes Excel 365 64-bit.
Does anyone know why?

Adobe Acrobat Reader free In a multy language enviroment
How do I install the Reader so that its only one package and installs the language of the OS but allows the user to change the language if he needs to. I can do this for the pro version. I am deploying with SCCM.
Where are the Edit - > Preferences - > Security(Advanced) settings stored for adobe acrobat reader on a windows 2008 server
I have adobe acrobat reader version 2019.010.20099 installed on one of the citrix servers. I want to make a change in Edit - > Preferences - > Security(Advanced) The change is to uncheck the "Enable protected mode at startup". I am able to do this change from my account and this change reflects when I open Acrobat reader via citrix. But this change is not reflecting for other users. Other users have to manually do this change by opening acrobat reader and then saving the settings. Unfotunatly this is not a feasible solution as the userbase is more than 500. Is there any way that I can do this setting on the citrix server and it reflects for all users? The other way to ask same question is" Where this setting is stored for all users on the same server?"
Acrobat DC Pro team licence installation across multiple servers
I am looking to get a team license to allow 5 users to access acrobat Pro. I have two questions really.
Is Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe DC Pro, then same product? I couldn't find a team license for Acrobat Pro only individual licenses.
Is it OK to install the team licence on multiple terminal servers? There are five terminal servers in the farm so it has to go on all of them.
Account Confirmation
Hi all
We have a business account for CC. Everytime we open any of the CC applications we need to confirm the account, see below. This is quite annoying and also superfluous as there is no need to switch accounts.
Is it possible to always accept the account and not to have it confirm every time a CC application is opened?
AdobeGCdata folder is created at deployment with the Everyone group having FullControl (in prog files,\common files\adobe)
Folders
c:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeGCData
and
c:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\AdobeGCData
are created at point of deployment of Adobe Pro DC. they are given full control to the everyone group. I am pretty sure this is not something we are doing as part of our deployment but if it is please let us know and how we could change this.
If this is standard, what will break if we amend these permissions?
This to us is a massive security hole and we need to remove these permissions. I am looking for some advice / reassurance as to whether this will break anything in terms of functionality of the main application?
thanks in advance,
Ed

Cannot install Adobe Reader with VMware App Volumes
Hi,
We are trying to provision Adobe Reader on an RDS Server.
Every time we run any form of Adobe Reader installer during this provision it fails with "The system cannot open the device or file spedified."
Has anyone had this issue or know how to get it to work.
Thanks
Reg.Key "iprintScaling" doesn't work
Hi,
I need print several documents and I use the "Print" option of Win Explorer to do it. But the size of some documents are A3 and I need print them fitted to A4.
I've tried to set to in Regedit (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Adobe\Acrobat Reader\DC\AVGeneral) the key "iprintScaling" to DWORD=2 and bprintExpandToFit to DWORD=0 (according to Adobe Reader DC. Predeterminar impresión "Tamaño real"). But doesn't work. The option in Acrobat Reader is keep in as "Actual size".
Any ideas?
I use Windows 7 and Acrobat Reader DC 2019.010.20099
Thanks in advance.
Set Reader DC as the default PDF handler
Hi,
I know there are/have been several iterations of this question. I have attempted ALL of the suggested fixes and none have worked. Its amazing. I have Windows 10 Enterprise x64 1709 with the latest version of Adobe Reader DC installed in computer labs. Each time someone logs in, they get a prompt indicating MS Edge has been made the default for pretty much everything. If Adobe Reader DC is opened, a prompt appears asking the user to make it the default, which goes into the process of making it the default in Windows. Something that will be undone the next time someone logs in.
I have tried:
Using a default apps XML file. I followed the instructions here pertaining to the XML file with no success. My difference being the path indicated within group policy does not exist for me. I used the GPO to create the aforementioned registry entry. No luck...
Installed the Adobe Reader GPO extensions on my DC's central store. All of the desired configuration settings are there, Adobe Reader DC/Windows just seems to be ignoring them. Not a single specified setting is applied.
Set the bShowInstallFTE and bToggleFTE user keys in the registry via GPO. This also has no effect.
I am completely at a loss. All I want is for Adobe Reader DC to be the default PDF handler and to not ask about or be changed by Windows 10. Pretty simple. My only success has been with creating a customized default user profile and copying to the default with sysprep and CopyProfile. It works, but it balloons the that new default user profile by hundreds of MB. This adds-on to the already lengthy time it takes for a new Windows 10 user to log in to over two minutes. That's on a PC w/16GB of RAM, Core i7 CPU and an SSD. Windows 7 did not have nearly close to this many problems with Adobe Reader.
Thanks
Acrobat DC and Microsoft Word
Hi Folks,
We have users who recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and mysteriously, the Adobe "Create and Share Adobe PDF" button has disappeared. Screenshot below. We have tried everything under the sun to try and resolve this problem. At first after the Windows 10 upgrade we couldn't even get the Adobe PDF tab to appear in Word. But with the help of the other posts on Adobe discussions, we at least got that back.
Does anyone know how we can regain the use of the "Create and Share Adobe PDF" button? It's one less click users have to initiate.
Our environment versions are Adobe DC (continuous) 2019. Windows 10 Enterprise 1803. Microsoft Word 1808 (deferred channel). And yes, this was all working as expected before the Windows 10 upgrade.
The system cannot open the device or file specified
I'm getting the message "The system cannot open the device or file specified" when trying to install the Acrobat ver 2017. It's followed by the "Error 2755. Server returned unexpected error 110 attempting to install package.
Has anyone encountered this issue before and if so found a solution or workaround?
How can I tell the difference in a Serialized and NUL Acrobat DC, from the registry?
We have mostly NUL installations but there are still some serialized in the Enterprise. We are trying to track down a way to separate the two by using the registry, but we have been unable to locate a reliable difference. I know we could just remove the serialization from everything but that's not currently an option for some PCs that we aren't ready to convert yet.
I can't find anything anywhere, registry or otherwise, that let's me tell the difference in the installs.
Anyone?
Acrobat Pro 9 in Citrix Elastic App Layer
My company has several licenses for Acrobat Pro 9.
I am setting up a virtual desktop environment using Citrix virtual Apps and Desktop.
Users who have permissions for Acrobat get assigned the virtual app at login.
In intial setup, Acrobat installs just fine. I can open and close it to my hearts content.
But when that layer gets applied to anybody, it crashes and burns.
The error message that shows on the desktop reads: "Licensing for this product has stopped working"
In windows event viewer, there is an error that states:
"Activation context generation failed for "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 9.0\Designer 8.2\FormDesigner.exe".Error in manifest or policy file "" on line . A component version required by the application conflicts with another component version already active. Conflicting components are:. Component 1: C:\Windows\WinSxS\manifests\amd64_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0. 17763.379_none_05b83be8071c94a1.manifest. Component 2: C:\Windows\WinSxS\manifests\x86_microsoft.windows.common-controls_6595b64144ccf1df_6.0.17 763.379_none_4d6572bf1b98bda7.manifest."
I went to the FormDesigner.exe and ran it manually.....it actually starts up and runs just fine.
I have already re-installed the various C++ parts and that didn't help. Tried talking to support and they sent me here.
I have plenty of keys
Any Ideas?
